This is a more modern type of house in Fiji called a Bure. Bure translates
to A wood and straw hut. Many Fijian citizens resort to building these types
of houses because they want to get out of the heat. These houses are
especially designed to keep heat out and keep the inside cool. The Bure
is dark on the inside, and the only sun light that could enter the house
would be from the front main door. Previously Bure's did not come
equipped with plumbing or electricity, but soon they adapted these
elements and it soon became a tourist attraction.
